Lorde: Sommer, Sonne und Selbstermächtigung [Update]

Kleiner Exkurs zu Beginn, denn so sieht es aus - ein neuer Song von Lorde, ein neues Album next, aber die Welt diskutiert über das Coverbild. Wir vermuten: Vielleicht ist es ja im Subtext auch ein Stück weit die Art von Selbstbestimmung, die eine Billie Eilish als nächste Ausbaustufe erst kürzlich mit ihren Vogue-Aufnahmen gezündet hat: "My thing is that I can do whatever I want”, hatte die Amerikanerin dazu kommentiert. "It’s all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery. If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, fuck it – if you feel like you look good, you look good." Und weiter: "Suddenly you’re a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you’re easy and you’re a slut and you’re a whore. If I am, then I’m proud. Me and all the girls are hoes, and fuck it, y’know? Let’s turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin – or not – should not take any respect away from you." Mach also, was dir gefällt, womit du dich wohlfühlst und gib einen Fick auf die Reaktionen - sieht ganz so aus, als hätte auch Lorde das verinnerlicht. Vier Jahre nach "Melodrama" erscheint nun jedenfalls am 20. Juni mit "Solar Power" die dritte Studioplatte der Neuseeländerin und wie der Name und das leicht esoterisch angehauchte Video zum Titelsong vermuten lassen, handelt es sich dabei um die Sommerplatte schlechthin. Eine Feier von Natur und Natürlichkeit soll es werden, good vibrations in der XXL-Packung. Mit dabei beim Happening Phoebe Bridgers und Clairo, an den Reglern Jack Antonoff.

Update: Bekifft im Nagelstudio, klingt eher nach RTL2, ist aber die nächste Single von Lorde und als solche natürlich mit reichlich Metaebene ausgestattet.
